Practice and background
Adaora spent four years as in-house employment counsel for a Chicago-area manufacturer before co-founding the firm. She knows what happens when a policy written in a law office meets a second shift on a Friday night.
She writes handbooks and agreements for Illinois and Chicago rules, trains supervisors, runs workplace investigations, and handles the agency charges and lawsuits that follow when something goes wrong.
Her clients call her before a termination, not after. Most of those calls take less than twenty minutes.
Typical matters
- Employee handbooks and policies for Illinois and Chicago
- Terminations, layoffs and severance agreements
- Non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Harassment and discrimination investigations
- Charges before the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the EEOC
- Wage and hour audits
She serves on the board of a youth soccer league on the South Side.
